New partner to my journey! Ovoko is an internation company which is an online marketplace where car parts sellers, auto dismantlers, and recyclers meet car dealers, mechanics, and enthusiasts. Their goal is to make 2nd hand car parts mainstream and accessible around the world, while guaranteeing quality and provide easy-to-use return policies. But best part isn't mentioned - Ovoko has a fast-action minded team, and already proven with their swift help for Dakar Classic project.

Just before leaving to Morocco for my 2 week rally adventure - I got an offer to become Co-pilot in Dakar Classic category! Karolis Raisys will be a pilot and he had already started preparing 1978 Land Rover Defender for this task. Even my goal is to compete on 2 wheels - this experience will definitely help me along the way. As well - entries for motos are limited for Dakar, so any experience helps to get a spot. At this stage - we have just finished preparing our race car, without testing brought it to Barcelona for technical checks and shipping to Saudi Arabia. All checks passed without issues and one month later we will see our old Land rover in Saudi!

My first Cross-Country rally - Finished 14th overall! And it was a blast. Camp prepared me very well - same equipment (Stella) was used, similar road book. We had Prologue + 5 stages and I have surprised everyone at the Prologue already - finished 3rd and chosen to open the Stage 1! That was my best luck in beginning by not following others and minding my own navigation. In first stages I was struggling to keep up with big bikes - mine had just 1/3 of power of others, so decided to take calm but well navigated route for my rally. In first 3 stages I was below middle of the field - lack of speed on straights, lack of cooling in dunes made me struggle a lot and I was just loosing time. BUT - I kept it constant, no penalties, all waypoints taken, no crazy navigational errors and most importantly - didn't injure myself or bike. And here we are - finished in 14th overall above many experienced riders! Super happy with my performance and clear mind through hard working week in the desert!
